bone stock 04 comp g 1/4 times

Took my car to the track today for the first time its bone stock and the temp was 78f. my best time was [email protected] i was actually very happy plus im still hitting rev limiter once in a while and i also noticed the car wont let me do a waterbox burnout even with the traction control off(discouraged). also the headlight comes out in 10 seconds literally its just 1 tab to pull up on. again remember guys tommorow sun. is the gtp car club clash at tristateraceway in earlville iowa. if anyone has any questions please call me, sam stumpf @ 563 580 1154.

That time looks like about average 14.5-15.1 FOR THE 04GP TRACK TIMES POSTED ON CLUB GP. Good job!
It really isn't very hard to get the headlight out is it?

...you can pull a fuse to kill the traction control? That's wild...didn't know you could do that.

Re: bone stock 04 comp g 1/4 times

I do more circuit than 1/4 mile. Doing the 1/4 mile got too excited and busted my new engine using the perf shift button incorrectly and reving it to hard(past 6000 rpms for couple of secs) running with a stang(IMPORTANT, that day I was able to drive the car back home. After the hit ended The car had a heavy miss on 5 checked and looked like the piston or something hit the spark plug head and ungapped it. I regapped it and drove home without hesitation or anything except that the car was making the distinctive engine broken noise. When the engine was taken apart, the crankshaft and block were fine but the pistons 3 and 5 had the outer top lip broken above the ring and that was what hitted the spark plug and ungapped it. The debry were rambling on the cylinder luckyly I did not forced the car after the track so the valves and cyl walls got really no substantial damage). What I did that day before braking it was [email protected]. Remember that I really suck from the dead start.

Scan tool runs should never be posted.

Take it to the track or say you dont have times.

Re: bone stock 04 comp g 1/4 times

Well man BS it is. Thanks anyway, that is why the pistons broke remember?
I was beating the shit out of it and the pistons broke. Had a swell time, anyway the new engine just arrived and we are going to install it this week. Let me fix my cam to get pictures of the busted engine so you can see the chirped pistons

GTPgirl,

Fuse 28 in the engine bay fuse box. This will totally disable traction control / magnasteer / ABS / and your AC

The tranny was not the issue, the engine had two pistons broken after the hit
