Check your CTS (Coolant Temperature Sensor). If the CTS is bad, either it gives out a too cold signal or too hot signal to the computer.
If it is stuck in too hot, it signals the computer and in turn it will immediately close the fuel injectors and not stay long enough.
If it is stuck in too cold, it signals the computer and in turn it will immediately open the fuel injectors for a long time and probably flood the engine.
During initial startup (cold engine), the Normal CTS sends a cold signal to the computer to open the fuel injectors longer and then gradually returns the fuel injectors to normal operation as the temperature rises.
The Fuel Pressure Regulator has a diaphragm inside and if that diaphragm ruptures, excess fuel is sucked into the Fuel Pressure Regulator vacuum hose and into the intake. Check the Fuel Pressure Regulator vacuum hose for any sign of fuel inside the vacuum hose (do it after the engine has been started for a while).
Like what they say, it is probably the TCC solenoid (Torque Clutch Converter solenoid). It is suppose to lock up when driving at a cruising speed to give you good gas mileage but then the TCC is suppose to disengaged when you slow down. However, bad TCC will not disenaged when slowing down (it's like leaving the gear on 4th on manual transmission while slowing down and it will surely kills the engine) and so the engine dies when approaching a stop sign because the automatic transmission is still on the high gear and still the TCC solenoid has not disengaged it. Simple solution is to just disconnect the TCC solenoid wire connector but then you would not get a good mileage when cruising.
Also, I did experience the same thing on my car and noticed that coolant reservoir spill excess coolant out of the top cover and squirts down where the Ignition Coil and Ignition Control Module is located. The coolant reservoir has a drain hose attached to the top cover of the coolant reservoir but for some reason the excess coolant came out of around the top cover and not on the drain tube. I have sealed the top cover so the excess coolant comes out of the drain tube which sits on top of the top cover.
