Lindberg 61 Impala SS ( New pictures 01/14/04 )

One of my goals over the holidays is to finish at least one of the many projects that I have started. SO last night I picked up my 61 and got to work.
Here are a few pics that I snapped real quick some time ago before all the foiling was done. Its just posed up so I am not sure if the stance will be just like this, I am going for a semi lowrider/custom look. Basically a box stock build with Pegasus wires and tires, Duplicolor Orange Mist with white roofed topped off by HOK pearl, detailed interior
More and better pics to follow

Re: Lindberg 61 Impala SS

I built this kit, but mine was the convertable one. This kit is very easy to lower. Just flip the spindles around, and cut the coils. Its that simple

And as promised a few progress pics
I assembelled the interior last night except for the grab handle over the dash board. I used the same Duplicolor paints as on the body, detailed the seats in BMF and then spraye it with Testorsds Dull coat, then mere BMF on the doors, and I used a Silver Sharpie to detail the door handles and add and various knobs and butttons, the dash decals are from the kit and go on nicely

I also did up a few parts with ALCLADII, engine pieces, rear end ( edge of photo )

THeres a lot of Chrome on this one so it was great BMF practice, the decals are exceptional in this kit and fit right over the molded in scripts and snuggle down nicely with the help of a little microsol and microset.

I finished up painting all the pieces last night, now I need to add a few decals and do the final assembly in the next day or two.

Re: Lindberg 61 Impala SS

I'm really digging the color. Great work with the paint. The rims on the car looks really good too.

Re: Lindberg 61 Impala SS

damn man that is fresh! Have you posted this on LiL recently? I don't think I've seen it and I can't believe how I could of missed this on here. Well to the top it goes then!
Can't wait for more, those wires look like the ones on the Lowrider Series diecasts. I'll have to pick one of these up soon, I've seen a few at my local store.
