spare tire

I have a 93' Blazer with the Tahoe LT package, right now its got the spare tire behind the rear seat and i was interested in installing a mount on the back so that i have more room in the back. I dunno if this even possible, maybe like a gate. And if it is possible where can i get it. Thanks for any help in advance. Oh yea, when i turn the heater on, only cold air comes out. does that mean the heating system was bypassed or is it just broken? thanks again

There is a way to buy and install a gate mount cuase I have a 93 blazer tahoe LT and I had a gate on back. Try looking at a 4x4 place nearby. they will tell you how to do it, but it will have to be reinforced for the swing brackets. And an answer to the heating question, check to see if any hoses are looped together and if there are 2 coming out of the left side of the firewall.

I suggest that you don't do it. If anybody ever rear-ends you, it will smash both tailgate and window, and if you can't find salvage parts, there're both around $300 new. I've been hit in rear 3 times now, and it's getting to me. I'm going to buy a roof rack and mount my spare to the roof. In your case, it cost the same to do either.
