Nissan s14 to Skyline R34 body conversion

[font=comic sans ms][color=navy][size=4]
This might sound a little bit (crazy), but is there anyway that I can get my 1998 Nissan 240SX to look like a Nissan Skyline R34? I want the fenders, the headlights, the tail lights, bumpers, skirts, wide body, EVERYTHING. Does anyone know of a place or a website I could go to? Any info would do. Thank You So MUCH!!! . I have a RB25DET engine in it already. . As you can tell I really LOVE skylines. THANX again!

you did a rb25det swap? and now you want it to look like a skyline as well? with that kind of money involved, why didnt you get a skyline in the first place? ofcourse it could be done, anything can be done, given the $$$$

If Civics can do it, I'm sure you can too... and shit, you got a 98'! That's already pretty rare over here, let alone the RB25.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO NOT DO THIS!

a) you can get a whole Skyline for less than the money it will cost you to make your S14 look like one.

b) 1998's are the rarest 240SX's of all. if you desecrate one by turning it into an R34, that would be a sad sad day...

i'd personally say leave your S14 as is and love it for what it is, a sweet RB25 powered S14, and not something it isn't, a Skyline. if you love Skylines so much, sell your S14 and buy a Skyline from Motorex or something.

I doubt buying an R34 w/ insurance would be more than converting his S14. Skylines aren't worth the money, unless you can afford to replace them because I know someone who got his R32 stolen just recently. You can bet it's long gone... imagine an R34 now. Go ahead and convert the 98. It's your car, and you might even be able to part out the leftovers to someone looking to convert TO a 98

Thanx. But doesn't a Skyline cost about $80,000? And They're illegal to drive here in California aren't they???

Thats what I was thinking. It would cost so much money in the body work and headlights and tailights and the wing and front and rear fenders and the side skirts and the front and rear bumpers (the list goes on and on and on and on and on and on...okay you get the point) that buying a real R34 would be much cheaper.

Why not build a 240SX like they should be built and give some respect to how great of a car it really is? I'm sure you could end up liking the 240SX as much as the R34 if you just give it some TLC. My .

Re: Nissan s14 to Skyline R34 body conversion

i'd say sell your 240 and RB25, and just import a skyline. They cost 90k to import, but converting your 240sx into an R-34 is very time consuming and expensive. Plus like Iketani said, don't try to make it look like something it's not.

yeah Skylines are legal to drive in Cali if you get one legalized through Motorex or another such company.

converting your car to look as close to an R34 as it can (which still wouldn't be very close. the body lines aren't even close), it would probably cost upwards of $20-$30 i would guess....including all parts, and factoring in the price you've already paid for your '98 S14 and RB25DET engine swap.

if you get an R33 or R32, it's alot cheaper then 80k.

It's not going to cost as much as what the guys are saying, go for it man. It just depends on how accurate you want your S14 to look like the Skyline. Try asking around for quotes at shops. Importing a Skyline isn't that great (like I said, an R32 got stolen... do you want to deal with sky high insurance rates too?), and you'll probably spend less than half the amount converting your S14, than buying a real R34. All you need is a good imagination to make it work out.

I also see you're in San Diego. Try looking up PJ Bonaficio... he's pretty famous for doing JDMRICE's 240sx w/ S15 Conversion, and it looks damn good. Read a good import magazine, and try to source who's done that type of work, i.e. tail-light swaps, front-end swaps, etc... Go to the next Hot Import Nights and ask around to get hooked up... there's a showcar scene for a reason! Realistically, it will cost some money but not what everybody is making it up to be... and since you could afford the RB25 swap, you could easily afford the Skyline makeover. Go for it!

Youre a douchebag.

Have you ever even seen a Skyline?

Theyre big cars. Much bigger than a 240. The front section is way longer, because its required to fully accomodate the I6, the wheelbase is much longer, due to the fact is has real backseats, the rear section is obviously different, the track on the front and rear is wider, not to mention the fenders are big box type flares.

So, your gonna spend a boatload of cash to make your car look like something its not.

Let's face the facts here. Both the Skyline and the 240 are over-rated. Ok, they look nice, but theyre not the epitome of beauty. If your gonna do some crazy show car, at least make it look good.

Why dont you sell this car, buy a Scion xB, drop in a 3SGTE, do the JDM badges and crap, and give it some crazy bodykit.

You sir, have more money than brains.

thats what i thought at first, too, but decided to give him the benefit of the doubt

hey you have KYB RGX shocks, with eibach springs? those shocks are adjustable, right? and you can lower the front a bit more than the rear, so the arches fill up more, at the front?

i like the 240sx better any how. Nice sil80 conversion and and custom tuned just how i want it. If i had that kinda money for a skyline, i still wouldnt do it, cant find parts easily and i think the sil80 looks better.
