what do you think....liar?

would a hatch with an H23/turbo'd/ with a 250shot of NOS,

1. run a ten second quarter mile, and if so what would need to be done? As far as tech. tuning, rubber used (would they need all the goodies/ slicks and skinnies), and anything i cant think of.

2. would a hatch with a motor like that haveing the horse power to run a high ten second 1/4 mile need some serious work to keep it held together?

3. lastly if some had this motor and ran times like this would they be able to make a coment like " yeah i had the car for 4 months now and i havent had a problem, and i run the shit out of it"

i ask only cause this guy and his hatch that i am speaking of rubbed me the wronge way and he seemed like one of those guys that would strech the truth to seem better than everyone (not saying he dosent have a fast hatch but..). and i dont know everything there is and didnt want to open my mouth and sound like an idoit but....well he made that coment "my v-tec sucks" and i dont even have v-tec, and i would think that it would'nt be that hard to notice whether or not a 91 integra has or dosent have v-tec to someone with a ten second hatch. so let me know what you think.

There is no hay that motor will put can handle a 250 shot of nitrious AND a turbo without a COMPLETE DRAG REBUILD. Even then, there no way that car is streetable. To make it short, yes, he's full of crap. That much nitrious alone, abit ontop of boost, would blow that engine to shit.

250 shot? ...LMFAO
You do understand that's like an open garden hose feeding into his intake right?
I could see a 150 shot at most on that engine. He's bullshitting your ears off. However, a turbo prelude engine is very capable of getting 10's without nitrous if tuned/built right.

Re: what do you think....liar?

ok you say that a turbo'd prelude engine is capagle of getting 10's, if done right. but would an engine this volitile really last for four monthes after being driven as he said, would'nt he run into many problems with head gaskets or axles, or something small even like hoses blowing from too much pressure?

He's probly another dipshit who drives around saying hes got turbo, then when he pops the hood to show you his "turbo", he points to the intake manifold. Ive seen these idiots before. Also, the guy that pointed to his Intake mani as the turbo drove around for like 2 months with half his car painted blue with a spray can, "to see what it would look like blue." We need to ship all these people to Australia and leave them there.

no way...the dude is bullshitting. im surprised that he knows where to find his engine code...that is, if he even has that engine, most likely he heard someone say 'h23' somewhere and decided that he had one...

I'm a little unfamiliar with H-series engines, but what is an H23? Is it a jspec or something?

Its in the 92-96 Prelude SIs and maybe the SEs too. THe h22 DOHC VTEC is rated at 190 and the SOHC is like 135. The H23a1 has 160 HP and 156 lb/ft torque. Its like the second quickest for that generation of preludes.
Theres also an H23a4 I believe. I think that one might be a jdm. Its rated at 195. I doubt he'd have the newer one.

Re: what do you think....liar?

Oh wow.. yeah, turbocharging those pieces of crap would still take a lot of work for a 12-second pass. On top of that, a 250 shot of nitrous on that thing would be like dropping a match into an oil rig...

Everyone is always saying its bad to turbo those engines, so he'd have had to put in a lot of money to get the engine ready.

Yea, they have fairly weak cylinders, and they will crack under heavy boost. I know you shouldn't really boost an H22 much past 6psi, 8 if you really know what your doing. I'm guessing it's pretty close for the H23 as well.

correct...

these are the same reasons why you find h-series owners supercharging (jackson and i think edelbach make sc's for h22's) much more than turboing. and feel free to correct me if im wrong but, the JRSC keeps the boost down but doesnt require any 'spool-up' time or turbo lag or whatever, so youre kind of trading a few things off. the h-series motors that are turboed most are the h23's though, at least from what ive seen. this is for the same reasons that the ls b18 is a better turbo candidate, being non-vtec.

to ricochet...'pieces of crap' ?!?! that hurts my heart. were all on the same team here. maybe if im not a dumbass well find out saturday.
