Thinking about getting a 240...just need to know what you think.

Ok...i have a 95 3000GT and i'm 14 right now....i'll be 15 in two months. When i'm 16 i'm going to get a VR-4 (3000GT VR-4 is you didn't know). I will have the money to buy it. By myself...my mom and dad our not paying for it...for a good one it will cost 10K to 15K....and i should have around 20K by the time i turn 16. But...i would like to get a 95-98 240SX and get a SR20DET and if needed a 5spd converion do some mods to the engine and also do a S15 converion with a Bomex body kit all around. And make that my daily driver because the VR-4 is like a vette to me. A car you dont put all the miles on and stuff. So what do you guys think. Remember...the 240 will be my daily driver and the VR-4 my part time driver. Also...if i make the 240 my daily and the VR-4 my part time my insurance will not be a high because the 240 is less powerless and stuff. So what do you guys think about that?

So you're 14, obviously you don't have your license, unless you live in like Idaho or something and have your tractor license (and besides, who has those). And maybe you could please explain to me how you're going to get 20 grand. That sounds nice. Oh and you're forgetting the insurance which will be through the roof with those two cars so how will you pay for that...I know, I'm ruining your fantasy, but I'm curious.

I think this "kid" is full of shit and owns no car at all, the attitude in your post is fake. Your frickin' 14 for chrissakes!, get a skateboard or something...

When I was 14 I was lucky to own a bike, let alone a 3000gt!!!

Re: Thinking about getting a 240...just need to know what you think.

Well...let me explan. I work for my dad...so i have no taxes at all. I put in 44 hours a week...so times more...but never less. We are beekeepers and i have my own beehives and i get honey from them. So i sell my honey at the end of the year, i get about $10,000 for all of that. Here is the math...i have 100 hives. Lets say i get 100 pounds of honey per-hive. Thats 10,000 pounds of honey a year. And honey sell for about a $1.10 right now...but lets just say a dollar. So take 100 hives x 100 pounds per hive x $1.00. Thats $10,000. And we also get pollination money. I get about $5,000 from that. The price per-hive is $50 a hive so 100 hives x $50 a hive is $5000. And then my labor. I work 44 hours a week year round. I'm homeschooled so i do my school when i get back from work. So there is 48? weeks in a year x 44 hours a week x $6 dollars ahour is $12,672 dollars a year on labor. So right now we are at $27,762. I'm just trying to go on the low end of things. Thats how i get my money.

I can drive to school, work or anything that has to deal with work...like going to pick up a part for one of our trucks or stuff like that.

You dont think i have a 95 3000GT? Here are 7 pics to show you i do.

Now maybe you know i'm not lieing about anything.

on topic...

a 240sx is a great daily driver, even with an sr20det, why else would they sell it with them in japan...

by all means, get one if you can afford it, which i'm sure you can do

off topic...

what kind of license plate is that? is that like some sort of "work related transport" one? that's my guess to why you're driving. sorry if it's just a regular license plate, just never seen one like that

Re: Thinking about getting a 240...just need to know what you think.

I have a Farm Permit...it let me drive to school if i need to.

I dont have my full license.
44 hours plus school at night when i get back from work. No i dont have any free time. My mom teachs me. Yes she finished school...high school that is. No i did not get tho pics from "some other guys Car Domain page" if you look at the pic of the back of the car you see it says Kanasa. There where i live. Yes its a auto but i'm selling when i'm 16. I took that pic 2 days after i got it. I didn't have the time to take the bra off.

If you still dont think i own it tell me what you want me to take a pic of on the car and i will go take it right now and then put it up on here...just say...whatever it is you want i will take a pic of.
