Integra "Shoots" out H20 from exhaust
was sup
i dont know whats go n on. My 97 integra LS sputters water from the exhaust like crazy. After the car is idling for about 5 mins, i'll notice water coming out from the exhasut pipe which is normal. If i hit the throttle, a whole shitload of water comes shooting out of the exhaust. i dont think it's supposed to do this. i know a lil bit of water is expected to come out of the exhaust cuz of the cold weather and hot exhaust create n condensation, but i never seen the car emit so much water before. Im not sure if i might have an exhaust leak thats cause n this excess water from coming out cuz i smell alot of exhaust fumes come n out of the car and sometimes inside the car i can smell it too. tell me what u guys think the problem is. im gonna get a cat back soon so maybe i can solve the problem from that upgrade. |

where do u get your gas from? try using a diiferent gas station, maybe this might help, the water coming out of your exhaust is call hydrocarbon which is basically liquid waste so i wouldn't drink it if i were u.
. after a couple of weeks if it still comes out and nothing changes then it's better if u have professional mechanic do a dianostic.

i just started up my car and put a white cloth by the exhaust to see what color the "water" is thats coming out og the exhaust. it turned out to be clear. Now if i had a bad head gasket (which would result in coolant get n into the cylinders, and then this coolant would be expelled through the exhaust) shouldnt the "water" thats coming out of the exhaust be green in color? the "water" was clear.
im think n that maybe i have bad gas in the car. i recently baught the car (November 2) but it still hasnt seen the road a great deal. its not registered yet and i have to get it registered in another state. when i baught it, it had 1/2 tank of gas in the car and i havent filled it up since then. by next week when i get it registered i'll see if some new gas will fix this problem. |
