Why doesn't my remote start work properly?

We installed a bulldog security remote start rs82/rs85 on our 2000 Ford Expedition yesterday and it works except for the fact that you have to be within 10 feet of the vehicle to get it to start. Can someone tell me what we might of done wrong?

Yep, you bought the #1 worst remote start on the market. Other than that, you can try to move the antenna in different locations or buy an extra antenna from Bulldog of which they will try to sell you when you call them.

hook up an extra car battery to the remote, and if possible, another to the reciever.
should help the range
