Mid '80s Mid Engined Chevy Pickup

Here are some progress of my Mid Engined Chevy Truck I have been working on. The pictures aren't that great since the camera isn't that great.

The engine is a 350 or 305, I can't remeber which, but from the outside they are identical almost. The rear axle is from a ford I believe, I used it for the flat spot on the hanging shackle as for it provided a great spot to mount my springs. I don't know where tires and rims came from, I bought them some time ago and can't remember who made them as I don't have the box anymore. I made the rear part of the chassis from tree sprue. I have the exhaust to make yet, the interior is done but I didn't bother with a picture because it is stock and nothing special. I think I will place the gas tank in the front, where the engine used to go. I can't decided where the rad should go. I would think in the stock location with the lines running in the cab. I haven't decided on a color yet but I am thinking just a plain white. Well here are the photos

That's pretty cool. I've been waiting to see it. My suggestion: Make a bed cover using some plastic card (styrene) and incorporate a scoop like used on pro-stock drag cars (the snorkel kind) and take off the old air cleaner, and either leave it off or do something radical like a cold-air thing running into the snorkel, and some crazy headers, that'd be cool. but that's just what I suggest.

86_SR5, the last pic, evn tho the pic is crap I tried to show how the header and muffler come up over the fram notch. I am thinking of adding a cold air type of attachment to the air filter, for better air flow.

Re: Re: Re: Mid '80s Mid Engined Chevy Pickup

Suggestion, you camera has a zoom option I suppose, use the zoom instead of getting real close like that, and lay the model out on some wipe printer paper, that way the flash reacts with the white paper for a clearer pic. Ok, I see the pipe. But yeah, I'd do as I suggested with the best cover and a scoop right over the intake, so it's pretty much raming cold air right into the carb setup. Keep updating when you can. White with some pearl clear coat would probably be the best color for this truck. What rims were you planning for? Some cragar s/s 15'' with slicks in the rear would probably be my best suggestion.

I was gonna go with the rims that are on there, they are wire type but looks good. Once I figure out what works best with this camera I will post some new pics.
