question about tint that hasnt been asked

Ok, im about to tint the windows in my 95 GSR, i was wondering whats the difference between the onyx tint and the regular stuff, the place im taking my car is a reputable place so i doubt they use really cheap film, and ive gotten work done there before, but with the onyx and i like it but its kinda expensive. any help would be appreciated. thank you.

Re: question about tint that hasnt been asked

I dont beleive I've seen this question before. Here's the basics . . .Onyx is a true black window tint, high quality film, that doesn't show blue/purple. Other low quality tints may contain a metallic substance that messes with electronics(cell phone, radio, GPS, etc.) Onyx/Charcool has a lifetime warranty & richest black and truest gray you can find in a car tint, while providing nearly 100% UV protection, and blocking over 66% of the sun's heat. It may be more money upfront, but in the long run it's worth the $$$.

My Camaro's rear window - cheap tint - purplish

Civic's rear window(onyx). If the camaro would have been outside, the sky/houses would be almost all purple.
