I am going to attempt to make a bodykit for revell civic but want I want to know is you know where the front bumber attached to the car do you make that part with putty around the headlight or do you cut the top of the kit bumper for a guide? i am sorry It is hard ot expain!!

i recomend using some guide as it makes life easier. my bumper on the escort is a cut n shut like what u r asking to do. i find its works well. do it!

Ok the Green lines outlines where the kit bumper attaches what I wasnt ot know is do you cut where the red line is so you can shape around the head lights or wheel wells. or do you just use styrene and putty to for a whole new thing?? hope this helps!

yeah thats what ive done the bumper cut line u drawn is spot on. maybe a little higher up to give u more playing area. try to have ideas of bodykits at hand when building them or it looks silly. go for it!

Try to keep as much of the original as possible, i would try to avoid chopping off the entire bottom half. Are you basing this on an existing bodykit or making one up? If its a real one, study pics long and hard to determine what needs to stay. Often its just a case of building upon the existing part with only a few areas to cut away.
