just wondering if anybody knows the difference between these models or specs i have a 1989 subaru legacy rs type r or a good english website that does

From 1990 onwards, the RS-R can have central locking as an option - the year the RS-RA started production.

As for engine internals, only the RS-RA has the extra goodies courtesy of STi: The forged pistons, strengthened conrods, balanced and ported.
