V6-V8 engine swap

So there i was trying to think of how to get some sort of upgrades for my 4.3L, a buddy of mine mentioned that a small block 350 will bolt right up inplace of the V6, using the same mounts, tranny and all that. So anyone know if that's actually true or can i go ahead and slap my friend?
Thanks.

Yes, The 5.7 will bolt in. But its far from just droping in a motor. You need to deal with the cooling, elec., and extra pounds just for starters.
you may want to think about putting the Syclone turbo system in. I have found people selling the whole system intake ecu rods ect for around 1500.
