Intake Question
Hey guys, I got about $150 to spend on an intake, and I was looking at an AEM short ram intake and an off brand cold air intake. Which would you guys go with if they cost the same? Is the AEM CAI worth spending an extra $80 for? From what I hear the CAI is supposed to put approximately 10 hp to the wheels where the Short Ram is 8 right? Thanks in advance.

get a turbo
j/k when my car was a n/t i liked the CAI better than the short ram air, but thats me, also you could try it and see, go to home depot and spend $10 on PVC piping and make your own... if you like the difference and want the name brand, take the pvc back and go buy your name brand shit...personally i think they work all the same, i made mine out of 4" PVC and coated it with sylicone spray to make it slick for better air flow and it worked great...just make sure you have the seams facing the right way! good luck

I would not buy a brand name intake, i would buy an intake off of ebay or make one like EclipseRST said, then if you want buy an brand name filter like k&n.
