Only 2 Questions....

Ok, my first question is about the Tamiya Mitsubishi GTO. This girl that I might hook up with really likes the first gen. 3000GT/GTO and I am thinking of getting her this kit. Can you enlighten me if it includes engine detail, how well the kit puts together.

Second question is about the glue that everyone uses. What glue do you use? I currently use Testors Plastic Model Cement(it is a liquid and it far too much takes a long time to dry). Can you recommend me to a good glue that will give me better results and a more firmness between the parts.

Thank you so much.

- Jason

The Tamiya Mitsubishi GTO is curbside. I thought it had an engine, but sadly, the box revealed differently. Tamiya quality kit. Builds well. My build of the car here.

Thx for the glue recommendations.

And should I let her build it(so she can make it how she wants)? Or should I build it for her?

Malsheem, very nice GTO you have there.

Also, you were the one who sent me the Fujimi S15 rims, correct?

Build it together.

I use plastic welder, which I picked up at a local Hobby Lobby.

Plastic Welder?! I've never heard of such a thing. Please elaborate.

Thanks. Yes, I was the one who sent the S15 wheels to you.

Like hirofkd said, build it together.

One brand is Tenax-7R. You use it like liquid cement, apply with a brush (won't harm most brushes, just in case use one you don't use alot) to the area needing glue (usually holding the two pieces together and letting capilary action do the rest) and then press the two pieces together and hold. You will notice plastic oozing from between the seems. After the glue has dried, use a sharp #11 blade and trim off the excess plastic and *bing*...no seem line to fill. If you don't want to, or need to, do all of that...just don't press the two parts together.

There are a couple of other brands, just can't remember the names off hand.

As for the glues I use, Tenax-7R, Super Glue (thick or thin...thick for quickly filling gaps using accelerator to speed up the process) and Testor's cement.

I agree with the others, build the kit together.

I can't thank you enough. Those rims are awesome and I am planning on using them on my current Mk II Golf project.

And yes, that would be good if we built it together
