Question: How do i know if a kit comes with an engine or not? (tamiya kits)

well, as the subject reads...i love building engines in models and was wondering how i could tell if a kit came with an engine or not. thanks in advance.

Well, the best way I've found was to just read the description on the box. It'll tell ya if it has a "detailed underbody and engine under-surface" or it'll just flat out say "detailed engine". For the most part, if a Tamiya has an engine in it, ie not curbside, they'll have pics of the engine on the side of the box.

ive read descriptions and they dont say either one some of the time.

search here for the model you are wondering about or ask one of us. again, SEARCH, then ask about a specific model if you can't find any information.

all Tamiya kits that come with an engine will have a picture of the engine on the Boxart, but I guess that does'nt help if you buying online

actually, my gt-four kit has an engine and doesn't have a picture of it on the boxart. usually the box will say "Precisely reproduced engine bay" or something similar...

Realy? It's Tamiya's convension to include the top view with the engine visible on the "side" of the box.

It will say on the box if it has an engine. If it doesn't say engine detail than obviously it doesn't.
