Unhappy 84 Headlight??

I just bought a really good running 84. Everything seems to work except that the driver side headlight will not go back down when you turn the lights off. I can make it retract by turning the little knob on the motor then you better get your hand out of the way because the motor works very well.

Tried lubing it and turning the adjustment bolt all the way out. Still no luck.

Any suggestions?

Did you check the gears. I know that aftermarket companies sell replacement gears for those headlights.
