Engine specs and sizes

I am looking to get a BMW V12 engine and put it in another car. I can not find the information on the size of the engine. I need to know how long it is from the vavle cover to where the trans bolts on. I also need to know how wide the engine is.

Thanks
Troy

Re: Engine specs and sizes

Sounds like a cool project, what vehicle is it going in?
What engine are you referring to? BMW made the 5.0 litre and a 6.0. The 6.0 has dual overhead cams and more electronics.
I have the M-70 5.0 v-12 that is sitting on a stand and can give you the measurements from it.
If you give me your e-mail, I can send some pics of critical space areas.
