Engine misfires.

Hello,
I have a 1990 civic 1.5 PGM/FI. I have noticed an engine misfire between 1500 and 2200 and it is getting worse. I have checked the EGR Port for blockage and it is clean. Any other suggestions? FYI, I can avoid the misfire at this RPM range if I am heavy on the gas pedal. It is more prevalent with light gas pedal pressure.
