Angry Please Help!!

ok i finally got my car back friday...so i drove it around a lot friday and yesterday to break it in (new clutch, trannie, short block)...well late last night i was coming home and i heared a really weird noise from the engine area....pull over to check it out and i find a wire with a plug at the end of it sitting near the timing belt area and it had oil on it...so i stick it in the glove box to show my mechanic on monday...i close the hood and decide to go straight home and park the car till monday. well a little more down the road and i hear a humming noise...then suddenly my engine started making the sound that desiel engines make. well my oil pressure warning light came on. i get home to find oil leaking all over from the bottom of the car. pop the hood and a huge puff of smoke lifts up from the engine...what the hell just happened to my car? everything is brand new!

thats what happened
it could be that when everyting was put togeather that it wasn't tightened correctly, or a gaskets was missed or that plug you mentioned earlier could be a oil sensor and that coulda screwed you over, i dont know how that would happen, but sometimes it does

but ya, sorry to see this happen to you dude, specially since you jus got it back

Re: Re: Please Help!!

the only person that can tell you for sure what happened is the guy that's gunna fix it, otherwise we can all tell you that you blew it, and you might be lucky not to have seized it, but the only luck you seem to have is that it seems to have been the mechanic's fault [of no thought to your time spent] so sorry... mabey you can be sure to get a 6-bolt this time [do some reaserch if you got no clue what i'm talkin about]... but there by the grace of the dsm god [aka 95gsxracer] go I

Re: Please Help!!

ok little update found out the oil seal broke or something and the noise was actually the timing belt rubbing against some bolt because my mechanic didn't tighten it enough....so they ordered a new oil seal and timing belt...should be here tomorrow. they said the engine is as good as new hopefully nothing else will go wrong with this thing...
