Rattling noise Left Rear...not the exhaust..ideas
I have a rattling noise from the LR of vehicle, after 44,000 miles, original everything, definitley not exhaust, leading to only shocks, or springs. Vehicle not used to carry heavy loads. Any ideas ? The $70 trip to the dealership was not helpful either. Totally unresolved rattling which cannot be re-produced when vehicle is still on a lift, or on the ground with the engine off. It is a plain jane 5 speed V6 four wheeler with no mods.

Good Luck explaining this one. I'm posting a reply to my earlier posting. Went back to dealership again today. No add'l charges, no parts, nothing looks different. Rattling sound is gone. All they will say is lubed the body joints. Must be something like putting Noxzema on the woman's face....works wonders (and quiets everything down too).

Glad you got it resolved. I hate annoying little rattles like that - especially with a truck that only has 44,000 miles on it.

Went back to Dealership again. Got together with the mechanic, he agrees noise had returned. Fixed it. This was actually the result of the rubber molding between cab and the truck bed. Noise has been gone for 2 weeks. Maybe we got it this time.
