Angry Starter motor

Hey, a while ago my car started doing this weird thing were when i turn the key to start it, it would make this loud klunk noise and not turn over. After about turning the key back and forth it would eventualy start. For a while i thought it was the alarm system or something not letting the car turn over unless i press the key. Then i relized its either the starter or the starter syloniod and i just recently replaced the starter my self. It wasn't as hard as everyone says it is and got it done in about 2 hours including an oil change. Whent to start the car and started right up. Just today at school i go to start it and it does the stupid klunk thing but only thing time the car wouldn't start. so now im' pretty pissed off and confused because i need the car and now i have to spend money to get it towed and looked at.

Anyone that has any idea what is going on please let me know.

Thanks

Re: Starter motor

klunk, like (trrrrrrrrrrrrrr) when turning the key?
If that is the case could be a low voltage battery. Did you try jump starting?

Re: Starter motor

I figured it out. Bad starter from national auto. I got a more expensive one from napa and it works fine. I was kinda worried it was something else but now it works fine. Thanks though
