is ppi 4240 a good amplifier?

ok i was thinking about getting this ppi amp on sale and was wondering if it was any good? the model number is ppi4240 and it has 4 channels. the price im paying for it, if i do intend to buy it is $100. before u say anything, let me just say yes i do know ppi makes very good amplifiers but recently i heard they have sorta gone down hill, putting more effort into quantity then into quality. sorry i don't have a pic, been having difficulties, but any ways here are some descriptions; black outer edges, gold in the middle which says ppi. i didn't want to ask the owner because he might be kinda biased especially when he works for precision power, u know try to tell me it's the best amp and all the other junk. before i do ask him though, i just want a second opinion with anyone who had any personal experience with this model, thanks.

oh yeah i went to the ppi website and couldn't find it, so im think it is an older generation, maybe in the late 90's.

ppi used to be awesome .... than ran into some quality problems. I don't think they still have problems with quality but hard to say what generation you have
