Turbo tips

I blew my turbo and need to get a new one. What is the best turbo(for the money) that is good for around 300hp? I have heard that the stock turbo can reach this with an aftermarket intercooler and increased boost. If anyone has any tips or turbos(stock or aftermarket) for sale, I would be very interested.

Chris

If you are talking about 300HP at the wheels... the stock turbo will not do.

GReddy Td06's and T3T4's are the best way to go to get to 300 rwhp with a very streetable car.

Quite right. A TD06 w. the right trim would be right in it's effeciency for 300rwhp.

Thanks a lot for the tip. I have been reading a little on the TD06 it looks pretty good. Would you recommend the Greddy or Spearco Intercooler?

Spearco is only slightly better ... doesn't justify the extra $$$ in my mind.

Get the GReddy and two 7.5" SPAL fans (one pusher and one puller) for either side of the IC..... then no worries

People make 400-500 HP on the GReddy all day ... and you can get the the GReddy IC for $650-$750.

You tell me if the HKS is worth it

The CT-26 will not do my friend. there was a guy with almost every mod done and stock turbo who barley made 300. I had a 50 trim CT-26 with 18-20 lbs of boost only made 230hp/235tq. For the money the TD06 is prob the best bet, good power and great spool-up. Also, now that I did the T3/4 setup I had to modify everything....just get the Greddy, it bolts right on.
