I have a 95 dodge neon highline, 96000 miles, I took my car in and was informed that i have a blown headgasket, and antifreeze has gotten into my oil, He also said that nothing has touched the bearings, which is good I guess. The cost was $850, which I do not want to spend. I have a friend who can probably fix it on his own, but I am looking for any ideas on how to go about it, so that its done correctly, Does anybody have any suggestions???

My brother did his a few months ago and only spent 500. But that included replacing the timing belt and water pump also. I would recomend replacing those while you have it apart. It can be a difficult job if you dont know what your doing. I think it took us around 3 or 4 hours to do ours.

Re: help!!with blown headgasket
that is a ongoing problem for the neons, the dealer reconizes as a problem and will pay for half the cost
