HELP! I may have a blown headgasket!!!

I have a 1989 CRX Si and I think I might have a blownheadgasket. There is oil in the radiator and my car is blowing out like white steamy-like smoke. The car seems to idle fine but misses a tiny bit (barely noticeabale). The car idles at about 550 after the electric choke goes off. The car does have 204,500 miles on it. If someone could tell me what it may be and about how much it would cost. Also if I would just be better off buying a newer engine for it because of the miles and the labor and cost of the headgasket (if that is what it is). Thanks,
Ryan

Re: HELP! I may have a blown headgasket!!!

if u want something simple just to replace that engine....i say anything in the d series family b/c u can pick up any one of them very cheap and with no extra stuff to buy....unless u have bad motor mounts or something....but for a lil extra u can probably pick up a d16z6 or d16y8 (vtec engines) and i think itz a lil more u have to do as far as wiring goes

Re: HELP! I may have a blown headgasket!!!

I just got my headgasket fixed and I paid $285 total. Parts & Labor. The head gasket set costed $125. I sent it to the head shop to get resurfaced $50 ($75 before my discount), $30 for new timing belt and I gave my friend some cheese for putting it back on for me. If you do it yourself its not that bad. Take it to the shop and that's when you'll pay. I think they estimated $600 to me. Anyways, Good Luck in whatever you choose.
