Please Help!! Wipers?

Please help me if you can? My windshield wipers on my 97 firebird don't stay down when you turn them off. They work fine until you turn them off, then they stay sticking straight up. What's the problem?

I had the same problem, ended up buying a used wiper motor off of ebay, when i got my old motor out, there is a small clip on the motor that was broken, and this clip is what stops the motor and parks the wipers int the down position, im not sure if this clip can be bought or replaced, since i alredy had motor bought i chenged it out, i searched on ebay for awhile and finally ran across one, got lucky and got it for 10$ , the motor is very difficult to get out, because it is mounted up in the firewall under the window, the arms that connect to the motor are actually easy to get off, took me a but to figure out how, but they just pop right off, if have any more questions ,be glad to tell you what i know

You Need To Adjust The Wiper So Its Down When Off Just Loosen It And Adjust It .
