saleen s281 vs. 2003 cobra

99 s281 n/a would cost around $20k vs the 03 cobra around $26k-$27k so lets figure im going to spend around $30k i could have a s281 with a lot of mod $$ or a cobra with lowered with a set of chrome Y2K R 18's, exhaust, and a pulley. theyd probably be pretty evenly matched because all the saleen money would go into the engine since its already finished exterior wise so a kenne bell s/c full exhaust, cams, etc etc. so, judging by looks and cool factor which do u think would get more attention roaming the streets?

theyre both gonna be white, im a white fanatic so dont say sonic blue beats all or anything... lol

I would say the Cobra..b/c I would think it has a stronger bottom end than the S281 has...since it's not the blown version to begin w/

yea but with 10g's i think i could make the 2v just as sturdy: built bottom end, cams, full exhaust, kenne bell and nitrous if i have some $ leftover. i think the 2v could be wicked. but given... still, not as much potential as a 4v.

How would you distribute the 10k?

I dont know prices for Mustang parts...but lets say this...ball park figures of what I'd do

2k for bottom end
3k for supercharger kit
3k for brakes and wheels/tires
2k for suspension mods

the saleen would come with 18" chrome wheels/tires as well as full racecraft suspension. the saleen brake kit is $1,300 that i could throw into the mix. i would distribute it with building the engine and a supercharger with probably $2~3k leftover for a rainy day.

The Cobra will be more of a beast. To get a short block of equal quality to the 03 Cobra's will cost you $4,000 for the short block. 4g's for a Kenne Bell twin-screw S/C for the 2V. Full exhuast $1000+ Cams 700-1000. And your still playing from behind with 2V instead of 4V plus all the money spent on tuning. Plus install and switch time wether you pay some1 or you do it has oppourtunity cost
