Auto lock hub acting up?

Hi All,

I just bought a 2001 Xterra and love it. I'm not a real off-road guy yet though. Here's what's happening:

After shifting out of 4H back into 2H and backing up a bit to release the hubs (Nissan factory installed, not mods) I hear a rub/grind sound coming from the right front wheel. Is it an autolock hub? If so it is expensive to replace?

Thank you,

Mike

might be the hub or maybe the bearings need to be repacked or a brake caliper sticking. the autolocking hubs are very expensive, but hopefully you are under warranty.
