Thumbs up Finished, sort of... 1963 Impala Lowrider, plenty of pics.

It's done enough, I have to touch it up in a few places. I made the hood single hinged because part of the other hinge snapped off, so I made the best of a bad situation.
Hope the pictures load pretty fast.

Re: Finished, sort of... 1963 Impala Lowrider, plenty of pics.

Thanks, the paint is Tamiya metallic red over a light gun metal base, nothing too special. Roof is just racing white.
My next lowrider after the Ranchero will be my best by far in my opinion. So watch for that, if anyone has some spare lowrider parts could you PM me because I am willing to buy parts at the moment. I know I need to send those things to you still Dylan, sorry it is taking so damn long.
I especially need some of the gold pumps that come with this 63 Impala kit, aswell as the batteries from it aswell. Please PM me if you got some.

Wow!! Turned out really well, and the one-hinge hood is a fantastic touch!

Nice kit, this is the revell one isnt it? i found this kit to be a verry nice build, all the parts were well crafted, and the body had a nice heavy feeling to it, a very nice kit, and you made it well, very nice color, and another amazing low rider PD.

Re: Finished, sort of... 1963 Impala Lowrider, plenty of pics.

Thanks everyone, it's the Revell kit yeah, I found the kits wire wheels to be too small, so I replaced then with revell 14s and used lindberg hopper whitewalls.
Things you can't see well in the pictures are that I felted the boot and the parcel shelf, added red crushed velvet to the inside sides of the boot and used a gold mirror piece of vinyl in the boot too.

Only thing I found wrong with the kit was that the bonnets chrome trim was too short, that is why it is slightly curved, the wheels are the metal pin types so they are a bit annoying to get to fit sometimes.

Don't worry, I've got another 3 of these planned already, one of them will be blingin. They are a sweet kit but if you get one I reccomend you buy some Hoppin hydro or Pegasus rims for it.

Nice ride! The colour is very well done, I just love it, I might even do something similar (of course not a copy but you get the idea). Can't wait to see what you do with the other three! How about a gold tube grille for the blingin version?
