2000 four 4 wheel drive turning problem
2000 k-1500 4x4 has resistance at front wheels when turning. It will bring the truck to a stop when turning without offering more pedal power. Feels like CV joints, but I figered they moved and flexed with 4 wheel drive on or off??? Has any one heard of a common problem with 4-wheel drive and turning?
Thanks, KC |

To make it clear....This only happens when truck is in 4 wheel drive.

If driving in 4x4 drive on dry hard surface it will always do that and is not good for the front axle. There will be some noticable diffrence even if in snow, mudd, etc. . If it is really bad in wet conditions, you need to inspect the cv boot to make sure you are not losing any grease. If so you may have tore up the cv joint. Hope that helps.
