95 GC, "Part Time" light sometimdoes not turn on when engaging four wheel drive (4WD)

Hi there,

I just began having this intermitten problem with my transfer case / four wheel drive. When I go to engage the 4WD in part time mode, the light "Part Time" and two lights for the front tires being engaged do not come on. Sometimes they will after some time, some times after I park the car, reverse, etc. then re-engage. It feels like the 4WD is engaged during this time though, so I'm wondering if it could just be a faulty switch. Is it possible that something is causing the 4WD to not fully engage?

Also, this problem occured after I had new tires mounted and balanced. Don't think there is a connection...
