Re: Maintnence Req. at 80k?
The maint reg light goes on every 7500 miles to let you know that it is time to change the oil

Acura also does that so you can take it to them and get ripped off

Re: Maintnence Req. at 80k?
The main't light will come on about every 7500-10,000 judging by the way you drive the car. Oil changes every 3K miles, but Honda/acura recommends a main't service every 7.5K miles -- 7.5K, 15K, 22.5K, 30K, 37.5K, 45K, 52.5K, 60K, 67.5K, 75K, 82.5K, etc, etc, etc. So the service that your most likely due for is the 75K, you can get a list/prices from any dealer or take the list some where else to have it done cheaper.
Your also getting close to the timing belt replacement - 75K, t/belt, w/pump - about $1000 at the dealer. When you do replace the timing, also do the water pump & any drive belts. Don't be cheap & not do the water pump or its gonna cost you more $$$$ in the long run. Its just stupid not to replace the water pump, if it hasn't been changed, while doing the timing belt. |
