Question Which is better Acura Integra GS-R or Toyota Celica GT-S

I think the Celica GT-S is better but thats what i think Celica:180hp,6-speed,etc.

LOL....actually, a buddy of mine works for Toyota, has a 99 Civic Si, and him and another mechanic both think that the Si is a much better car, and that the GTS is a bit slow for having all that power. and ALL the money that thing costs! Not worth it! I'll take the GSR simply because of all that can be done to it.

i agree the gsr is the better choice its cheaper, and you can do much more to it, however if you compare both cars stock, for power the celica is better.
its noth worth it though,

gsr no doubt. for having 180 hp and a 6 speed, celica gts are amazingly slow. i was kinda worried the 1st time i raced one, knowing how much power it had, the trans it had, and since this one was lightly modified, but i smoked the hell out of it. 2 of em ive raced, and let me tell u i feel VERY confident against these things. gsr's however, one with an intake and exhaust can almost catch me. ALMOST is the key word though. heh heh

i dont' think the gearin in the gt-s is matched too well with the power. everyone's right, 180hp is plenty for a small car like the celica. how would you match up the gt-s with the rsx-s?

If im not mistaken......there was another of these posts...

actual real life comparisons the GTS is faster. I am a GSR person, but unfortunatley it isnt as fast when both cars have been properly broken in. Some guy at my school can barley beat Type-R's, but he has intake and exhaust, but thats pretty good for a car thats a lot cheaper then a Type-R

also depends on driver

which is better for reliablity....common there both japanese =)

comfortable....i like gsr...interior goes to celica though

well..GTS was made out around 00'?...6-7 years later after GSR was made..the GTS should beat the GSR with it's 6-7 years newer technology and it's 6-7 years more experimental time..but uhh..well..GTS should be the winner..but which is better?..u guys decide..
but however...the GTS was said to be made to compare with the ITR as said on Motor Trend back on..due to it's price..so they did a comparison..it lost everything to ITR in every comparison....so uhh..u guys decide which is better:smoker2:

oh yea..i hope the toyota forum guys don't wonder into here..:smoker:

Go find a PRE-OBD2 GSR and it will have a much better chance against ITR and GT-S.

newer doesn't necessarily imply faster or even better. and "6 to 7 years new technology and it's 6-7 years more experimental time..." can you elaborate on this please?

very true.....i was laughing at what he wrote myself......but the gsr wasnt made to compete wiht gts, gts was made to compete with it

so they should have the upper hand anyway it goes and celica has been around even longer then a GSR btw

sorry for my bad english..my bad..but i mean as in..the celica have the advantage as they are 6-7 years newer..which mean't..u know..newer cars always have the advantage since they will make a engine that will be better since newer engines are always wanted to be made better then older engines..so since the new celica came out around 00' and the B18C came ouyt around 93'...the celica engines should be the better engine....plz get my point prelude driver..

Hey INTEGRA-F20C

yeah its newer, but then why is the ITR motor making more horsepower, 6-7 years doesnt mean anything when they are getting 195hp.....its just they didnt want to spend teh extra money in the GSR to make it faster cuz then it would cost more. Try another viewpoint to make an arguement about it =)
