FairladyZ33(Or 350Z) VS Chrysler Crossfire

Pure bred of Japanese sports car VS American + German Bred sports car

Which one would you think is better? Not in tracks, but overall in streets.
Suddenly came up with this idea, because they look alike each other

The 350z will mop the floor w/this car...only real German bred sports cars either have Audi, BMW, or Porsche on the trunk

(sans maybe AMG cars...but their auto...blah)

Yep, the 350z is definitely quicker but I disagree with the previous post that Mercedes isn't included in the German-bred sports cars category. Even Mercedes' S class sedans and CL coupes can mop the floor with a 350Z, at least as far as acceleration goes. Within the last 2-3 years there hasn't been another company that has gotten as horsepower-crazy as Mercedes Benz. I feel that the direction Mercedes is going with Chrysler is definitely a good one.

But isn't that Mercedes now is not as good(I mean reliable) as those old ones? My friend has a SLK 230, but he went to the dealer 4 times for the first month...(He claimed that the car is having some problem, while I believe that he is having some issue with his own car...)

Re: FairladyZ33(Or 350Z) VS Chrysler Crossfire

The NEW SRT-6 Crossfire will eat the 350z alive.

I think it will have around 300hp. Ca anyone confrim this?

I've only read article once about it and it was about SRT-10 Ram and other future SRTs and hemi powered trucks in the future. I do know the crossfire gets a major boost with the SRT-6

Re: FairladyZ33(Or 350Z) VS Chrysler Crossfire

I posted this another thread a couple of days ago, but here are the specs as of right now.

SRT-6 Crossfire
Supercharged 3.2 V6
330HP
0-60 in 5.0secs estimated
155 mph top speed (electronically limited)

It has a fixed rear spoiler, and sportier wheels and tires. That is about the only difference in the looks. Pricing is estimated at just under $40,000.

These are the specs I got off on another forum. Looks like the 350z is no match for it.

Re: FairladyZ33(Or 350Z) VS Chrysler Crossfire

Well the 350z is also alot less money...26k to start....so if we added onto the 350z about 10k worth of mods...say a built engine, GReddy twin turbo kit, and more goodies...

I'd take the 350Z then...

I said that the AMG's are the ones that are good tickets...the S class? Umm...definitely not my sporting choice...I'd rather an M5...CL coupes...well...CL 55 would be better...but that's as I said AMG.

The 350z starts at around 26k!??!

That's the first I've heard of this. I always thought they started well over 30k, USD of course.

Seems like the 350Z is a piece of shit, there have been quite a few Z's with paint and transmission problems. Maybe because the Z is soooo fast that it burns the paint off?

its not fair! This guy said that shit was supercharged! Lets supercharge a VQ35DE and then we'll see whats up...If i remember correctly,LonglivetheZ says it'll push 350hp with just a supercharger(the 350Z)...

there are always issues like this when a vehicle is first released. it's not limited to japanese cars, or domestics. it happens all the time.

ever heard about the m3's that blow motors? new ones? e46 m3's. look into it. you'll find that interesting. worse than paint problems, i'd say.

for the aftermarket support, i'd take the 350z, simply b/c it has an aftermarket. there's not as much for the crossfire, but i'm sure you could get someone like renntech to build the snot out of it.

stock for stock, i think i'd take the crossfire for the looks...
