exhaust cut-out
I was looking for a alternative to changing my exhaust and I found the cheaper way of using a cut-out. Now, is the cut-out equaly good as a good exhaust system? and why the hell is it illegal to run with it in the open position?

But if everybody did it there'd be a problem. The gains of using it is you'll gain a considerable amount of top end pull from your motor... but you'll loose down low torque. How much depends on the motor.

Hey dude this link doesn't work. And by the way I heard from someone that u get flames coming out of the cut-out when open. Is it true?

Depends... depends on how far from the engine the cut out is, and what type of motor, what's done to it. Turbo cars on some occasions will shoot fireballs out the exhaust even with a full exhaust system.

the fire in the exhaust comes from turbo motors because the exhaust is hot enough to combust when it reaches the air outside the exhaust.
