Dear all Geo lovers,

Dear all Geo lovers,
I came passing through this forum and noticed that people actually wasted their time in making a forum on the worst car ever; the Geo Metro. This shit box is the worst of the worst.... I would never drive one unless I was payed enough $$ too.

About 3 months ago, my dad got rid of his 9 year-old Geo. It wasn't too bad, but this might be because we had the sporty version with an extra 25hp or something like that.

Lol, must be a Honduh owner. Love the cars, but the owners can be pretty annoying. Usually 16 y/o's who get caught up on their first car. And hey, nice car in the pic, lemme know when you save up to buy a poster of it .

Re: Re: Dear all Geo lovers,

Uh oh, somebody felt the need to pick on Geo owners - the same kind of person who steals candy from three year olds, and beats up kindergarteners. Makes you feel big doesn't it?

It's not bad at all goin 130 in the vert'. I have a much stiffer suspension, and much wider tires (195/60R14). It handles great over 100 also. Always feels in control.

Re: Dear all Geo lovers,

maybe once this guy grows into a man, he'll realize we always can't afford to drive what we want unless maybe mommy or daddy can buy it.

I've been working on my friend's Geo Metro and I actually appreciate the ease with which I can diagnose and fix this car. For those who don't like them, uh, THEY WERE BUILT AS ECONOMY CARS!!! GET OVER IT. Really, most people I know that have them didn't get them because they thought they were cool or sporty, they got them because they get 45+ MPG. I guess that's the difference between the people I know and the guys who think a four door Accord with a K&N and a 5 inch muffler tip is a race car. Oh, and I don't hate Japanese cars (I have a friend with a built Integra w/stroker crank, forged pistons, HP cams, hi-flow injectors, close ratio trans, etc... and I respect and appreciate the knowledge and work he put into his ride, cause it is sweet) I just hate the posers whose knowledge of cars doesn't go beyond generic Kragen bolt ons, but they have to flap their lips at those who are just trying to get by with what they have. Maybe if these guys ever displayed one ounce of actual knowledge (except how to spend their income on big stickers) I would listen to what they had to say, but until then...

Re: Dear all Geo lovers,

i agree with all the defenders, although c'mon, if we didnt have geo's wed probably feel the same way, but i doubt id go onto a forum for geo's and rip em. i mean seriously. thats just lame.

the reason i like my geo is:

1) it was free to me
2) get GREAT mileage, not having had a job for the last couple years, only putting 10 bucks in the tank every two weeks is more than any unemployed person can ask for.
3) ummmm, why not?
4) its fun to look at people faces when i drive by em....
5) its a goddamn car who really gives a fuck?

Re: Dear all Geo lovers,

A friend of mine has a beat up red Ford Festiva, which is basically the ford version of the Geo, and we drive around with oversized crash helmets on; it's really fun.

Nope, you must be thinking about the Prius. The Prius is a hybrid. The Echo has a normal gas engine.
