So we all noe that the 4g63 is a Strong engine for the Eclipse Gst and for the Gsx, but which of the two is a better choice for speed and over all performance. I hit up street races all over southern cali. and ive herd diffrent things. SO i leave it to you all in auto motive FORUMS.
Take under consideration the following: GSX- Pros:all wheel drive, bettter launches off the line, better handling Cons:More working parts, heavier than Gst, Slower top end GST-visa-versa (above statments) Appriciate the insight

Re: Discussion/Insight Gs-t or GsX, which ones better?
awd will always smoke fwd. you can launch a gsx at a much higher rpm and not spin the tires. a gst like i got is alot harder to maintain wheel grip. read and watch this:http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=160193

Nice plug for my thread!
heheI'd also like to point out that once you get into the well modded DSM phase, the AWD has just as much "top end" as a FWD. It used to be that around the time those vids were taken, I would wreck Vipers and the like to about half track, where they would proceed to stomp on my ass for the last half of the track. Once I hit low 12s I had no trouble walking them on the top end. I had one race against a Viper SRT10 where I missed second gear, putting us about even at that point. In the second half of the track, I put the beatdown on his ass. 12.1 at 117 to 12.5 at 110. Regardless of that example, 117 mph traps dont come without a stong top end. If you only plan to lightly mod the car and highway racing is your only concern, then perhaps FWD makes sense in that parallel universe But for most of use that want traction as well, AWD is the only way to go. I'll never go back. Good luck.
