turbo a GT?

Hi...I just got my car about 1 month ago, and am new to everything about the celica. With that said...Is there any turbo kits made for the 2002 celica GT? Also would it be a good idea to get a vvti/V-tec controller?

Re: turbo a GT?

Sorry man..no vvt-i controller made for the car. However, a turbo kit they do make and you can use an S-AFC II with that. It will do the same thing other than controlling when the vvt-i kicks in. Unless someone has found out how to rig the V-AFC to work with it, but as far as I know, no one has. A production turbo kit will cost you anywhere from $3,500 to $4,000 then you will have to pay someone to install it. We offer custom turbo kits that can be pieced together to offer it exactly how you want and include intercooler, piping, and all starting at $2,000 installed and up.

Re: turbo a GT?

oh ant btw theres no way in hell ur planing on turboing ur gt AUTO right?

at even low boost of about 7 psi ull be going through tranneys about once a year, ur best bet would be to buy and auto 2zzge tranney and putting it on because usto tranneys + turbo kits= blown transmissions
