Hard Starting 2000 Monte

I have a 2000 Monte Carlo bought new and it is getting harder and harder to start. When you start it first thing in the morning it fires right up no problems. After it has reached operating temp you try and start it and it fires but dies instantly, try it again and again it dies usually on the 3rd try it will fire up. Also on the 2nd and 3rd try the engine seems like it bucks before it starts, I know this is pretty vague but hoping someone might be able to shed some light.

Re: Hard Starting 2000 Monte

This sounds to me like a throttle body in need of cleaning. The problem here sounds to me like deposits causing a change in dimensions on the body, directly affecting the computer's ability to predict air flow, and meter fuel accordingly. The IAS must have clean passages to allow the software to properly control idle, atart up air flow, etc. When the engine is cold, air flow matches correctly since the passages are larger, and two the deposits are typically occuring at the point where the IAS spends most of its time.
