Sometimes when I or my parents are driveing the Windstar and we hit a bimp or the car is jostled in any way we hear this odd click sound coming from the driver side dash, actually it sounds almost like a rachety(Is this a word?I dont know.) sound. We can't tell what it is, but we dont really want to take it in if its nothing serious. Ideas?

same thing's happened as long as I can remember on our '99 Windstar; just never bothered to tear it apart to see what's causing it...

You don't have to take out the stereo. If you take off the lower housing and use a flashlight you will be able to see the white box. It is a little cramped but you should be able to reach it from underneath. Just replaced my 99.
