Re: SS vs STi

actually i have to correct myself. i did a little research(and math) and with the numbers i found on the net, the ss actually has a better power-to-weight ratio but the STi still has faster 0-60 and 1/4mi times...i think id be close and would depend on the driver, but that's goin by the numbers

Re: SS vs STi

in 96 an 97 the ss had 305 hp and from 98 up they put out 325 with 350 ft/lbs of torque. ran the quarter in 13.5s and had a 0-60 of 5.2s...but again those are just the posted numbers so im goin by them.

and the 04 STi's run a 12.8 second quarter...by the way

Re: SS vs STi

yah,but the WRX is a much better car in most aspects.. Better handling, better times, and i heard it's more fun to drive! the STi is a respectful car.. A 4-cyl flat,turbo,2.4l(2.0l in japan-better),and 300hp...

So that would be considered a good race then if the STi won only by a fender, but wining is wining

Re: SS vs STi

Don't forget an SS in 2001 could have 325 or 335 hp, and in 2002 it could have had 325, 335, or 345 hp...

aren't there some people that have gotten high 12s with their SS with only removing the spare tire? or is that just a myth?
