weird idling, wavy

sometimes when i'm stopped at a light my engine idling will kind of falter, and it will rise and fall, almost like it wants to sputter and die. its been happening since the radiator went, so when hte car gets hotter it happens. any ideas?

I dont know if this is the same situation you are in, but my car used to do that, and sometimes it would just dies. My mechanic told me to use fuel injector cleaner, and it has never done that since.

Are you getting any codes? Mine used to idle the same way when I was getting a code 1 (O2 sensor).

It might possibly be your Idle Air Controller/Mixture. Do you have any problems starting the car? If it is starting up bad you Ignitor might be going wrong. If the car is stock take it to a Diagnostic center and have it checked.

Re: weird idling, wavy

no codes, unless the bulb is burned out
I have been having some problems with the starting actually. Sometimes it'll act like there isn't enough juice to start it but if i leave it cranking it will slowly pick up turning speed until its about normal, then i'll stop, try again and it'll start. i had the battery tested and they said its still good. i was told that it could be the Main Relay, but now possibly the ignitor... any other ideas? i don't want to take it in b/c i don't have alot of money ot drop on a test for it

try making sure your idle control sensor is hooked up right, I doubt it is that cause it is not throwing any codes, but you never now

try changing ur sparkplugs and see if your throttle body is dirty. Our thunderbird would rev when it started for like a minute and then it got so bad that it would rev just to keep itself running (rpms dropping to 200 and then revving to 1200). But once we got new spark plugs and we cleaned the throttle body it was fine.
