I have a little querey to make. I just bought myself a 1990 R32 GTS4 that has been coverted to a manual and the HICAS light on my dash was only coming on at high revs whilst changing gear and it was making the car sputter for not even a second and cutting out the power then it would kick back in, which for starters is really annoying becasue this would activate the turbo timer and i would have to keep reseting the darn thing. Now after only owning the car for 2 days the HICAS light on the dash is on constantly, what does this mean? and does anyone have any suggestions on the sputtering when changing gears at high revs? and are these things even related?
The car didn't come with an owners manual so I have purchased one and awaiting it to arive. Until then I would be grateful for any assistance Cheers, Meth |

Re: HICAS Light On Dash/Sputtering When Changing Gears At High Revs
check your power steering pump (fluid) and make sure your fuse link is working properly this is located on the right hand side of your battery clamp by memory

Re: HICAS Light On Dash/Sputtering When Changing Gears At High Revs
HICAS turns slightly the rear wheels first to one side then to the other (depending on whether u turn right or left) so you turn better... not so good for drifting tho
