Question intake manifold

Hi,

I am trying to install a new Edelbrock 7111 intake manifold on my Olds 350 engine. With the manifold came 2 cast iron blocks. You have to fit these in the to center ports, But they won't fit. Is this normal, Do you have to machine them? I bought intake gaskets from Mondello which will block off automatically those 2 center holes. Do I need to fit those iron blocks????

Thanks

Anton

Looks as if you posted this a while ago. Anyway that is an awesome Intake with the correct heads and Carb. Back to the question - It is best not to install those Blanks, they do need to be machined to be put in and afterward they with create a turbulance in the Head. What Year is the engine? What Casting # is the Heads? What Carb are you using? And what Cam is in there? With the proper combination that engine will be pulling you into your seat Hard!
