fiberglass?

i was just wondering how hard it was to work with ,and how expensive? i saw ci5ics awesome job with the rear speaker pods and id like to make something like that...

It takes a little bit of talent to work with and get it right the first time. It realy isn't that expensive, most materials can be had for under $20 for a project like ci5ics's.

well im an artist by trade, ive sculpted, etc so might be able to do it... are there any requirements for rear speakers? besides being able to fit in the whole and bolt up?
i know subs need a box.... i was thinking like 6s or 6x9s

It's a bitch to work with, I'll tell you that.

I've got several unfinished fiberglass projects (pics in the link in my sig).

Basically, it's getting easier the more I work on it, but it's very time consuming, mostly with the bondo/sanding. Since I'm planning on painting them when they're done, they have to be perfectly smooth...

Anyways, do a search in this forum, or in the honda/acura interior/audio/security forum for fiberglass links. I've got a few, but seems like every few months, someone asks about fiberglass, and I'm getting tired of posting them over and over.

lol, ci5ic is the man! i was just wondering, cause i wanna add some rear speakers, and im looking for ideas for em... i dont want subs or anything just some rear sound.

If you're not wanting subs, then why do a custom enclosure? Just hit up the junkyard or eBay for some stock rear speaker mounts, throw some 6-1/2's in there & call it a day...
