S-10 Making Ticking Noise

When I start the truck in the morning it makes a load ticking sound. But as soon as it warms up it stops. ( Exhaust leak? )or could this be a lifter.

Once the truck is warmed up, it will not make the sound all day. But when I start it up the next morning the sound is back.

Re: S-10 Making Ticking Noise

I have the same problem. Mine is a 2000. If anything I think that the noise on mine is more common in the morning when the steering wheel is not straight - that is when i start to turn - powersteering ??.
