97 3000gt vr-4 91k miles for $900?

Ok heres the deal. A co worker comes in today saying " You know what I found". A drug repo 97 3000gt is for sale. He asked if I know anything about them. Having known I own a modded mitsu spyder. I say yeah those are great cars. I say what you getting it for nothing or something? Oh yeah what type is it, there are afew model types for that car. He says well the car is a 97 with 91k miles on it. And the back says vr-4. Im like WHOLY SHIT. Whats wrong with it? how much are they asking? The says well the repo guy said it needs anew head gasket and other than that maybie a tune up. He wants $900 for the car and he says hell get it running for $1200 more. Im like no phucking way. So what hes planning to do is. 1, buy it and get it to run. 2, sell it. What do you guys think a good selling price for the car would be running? The car is in good condition great paint, good interior and all. Just needs anew headgasket but thats getting fixed before hand. Ill check the turbos and make sure everything elce is ok. whats a good going price on the 97 3000gt vr-4 in good condition go for?

The going rate is 15K + depending on condition.

If nothing else, get the car for 900 and part it out and make some cash.

I doubt you will be able to sell the car for 15K... (Even though a sucker is born every minute)
When a prospect finds out the car was bought at a police auction, they will run. It'd be in your best interest to "part the car out".
