Preventing brake dust on 20" chrome rims?

I have an '01 Dodge Ram with 20" chrome aftermarket rims. Is there anything I can get, whether it be covers or whatever, to prevent so much brake dust on my rims? Thanks.

About the only way to improve the dust situation is to change brake pad compounds. I would look at a ceramic or Kevlar based pad as opposed to a semi-metalic pad. They offer much better braking and less dust than the older pad compounds.

They make these things called brake dust covers. Search google there easy to find and easy to install. Just take off the wheels, slide the cover on and bolt the wheel back up. You can get them in polished/chrome, painted whatever you need. I had them when I had my 17's and they work great. All you get is road grimme and a hint of brake dust.

Slotted and drilled rotors will actually cause more of a dust problem. The idea behind brake dust covers is to limit the amount of air (and dust) reaching the outside of the wheels. This also cuts down on the airflow that helps cool the brake rotors. Better brake pads is the only solution.
